Venturing Crew 233

Venturing Crew 233 is sponsored by Bradley United Methodist Church of Greenfield, Indiana.  Venturing is a co-ed program and is open to all youth at least 14 years of age and less than 21 years of age.  .

Venturing Crews elect youth officers and the crew members decide on activities.  For example, Crew 233 planned a western outdoor trip during the summer of 2015 that definitely was the highlight of the year for every crew member!  While on the trip that summer, the Crew participated in multiple adventures in the Rocky Mountains, including a one-day 4WD Jeep tour along the edge of a wilderness area, a four-day backpacking trip into the Weminuche Wilderness Area of the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado (including summiting 14,000 foot high Windom Peak plus traveling on the Durango-Silverton narrow gauge railroad to access the edge of the wilderness), a day of sandboarding at Great Sand Dunes National Monument, whitewater rafting and fishing on the Arkansas River near Buena Vista, Colorado, and visiting Florrisant Fossil Beds National Monument and the Air Force Academy.
